About MyDawa

MyDawa operates a bricks-and-clicks model combining an e-commerce platform for medicines, health and wellness products with a growing network of physical pharmacies. It provides online doctor consultations, e-prescriptions, laboratory testing, chronic disease management programs and medication delivery. The company serves patients directly in Kenya and Uganda, where it expanded via the 2023 acquisition of Guardian Health (pharmacy chain) and later Rocket Health (telehealth provider). It has also acquired The Medical Concierge Group.

The business model integrates digital tools (including AI for inventory and service optimization) with physical infrastructure to reduce costs in the fragmented pharmaceutical supply chain, improve access to quality medication and professional care, and support chronic care for thousands of patients. In 2024 it reported serving over 1.8 million patients and enrolling more than 5,000 in chronic-disease programs. It aims to scale further across East Africa.
